If this happens to you, you will need to reboot your Kindle. Press the Volume Up/Down menu to navigate the. You should see the system recovery screen menu. Which can be done by following the first two steps of this guide. Let the Volume Up button go when the Amazon sign appears, but keep holding the Power button down. Try plugging in the Kindle and pressing the power button. If that does not work you may need to restart the device by pulling the battery. If the battery on your Kindle Fire runs out, the device will not turn on until you recharge it. The most likely fault is a crash, which could be resolved by holding down the power button until the screen turns back on. You will need to write this down, or try to memorize it, because if it happens to you I’m willing to bet you won’t remember unless you’ve reset your Kindle a few times!
